The year is almost over and it has been a very good year for red fish I have been able to get good fish this whole year. Hope that 2014 will bring the same kind of fishing to this area. I am starting to get on the trout and today was just a really good day. Not any big ones but a lot of smaller fish that was ready to bit.

It is getting close to the end of the year and the weather is great, this week it has been in the mid 80 degrees all week and the weather man is calling for 86 on Sunday. I have been fishing a lot this month and that has keep me out of the Mall's, that is a good thing any time of the year. The big black drum are here and the redfish are eating. Redfish and trout fishing is good even up in the day I got on the water today at 11am. and got this nice redfish. The redfish are eating when you find them and there are plenty of slot fish all together the weather has been good for the most part. We do have fronts coming down from up north with some windy days but over all it has been a good December for Central Florida. The fish are eating after the cold fronts and one nice thing is you don't have to get on the water early to catch them. They are calling for nice weather for just about all of December so that will mean a lot of fishing days. With the temperature's running 70 to 80 it is really nice on the water. This year we are seeing more birds and ducks on the water than I have seen in the past few years, looks like even the ducks know it has got cold around the country. Go to my website and book yourself a trip and we will get you on the water.

As a Charter Fishing Caption all days are Special I get to go fishing, but today was even
more Special I was one of the lucky fishing Caption's that was ask by Capt. Justin Price
to fish in the 1st. Annual Event where Charter Fishing Caption's get to take a member
of the Project Healing Waters Organization fishing. This organization is dedicated to
our Disabled Veterans through fly fishing and associated activities. The Event put
on by the Mid Coast Flyfishers and held out of JB's Fish Camp in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
I had the honor of fishing with George a veteran who served and was wounded in
Vietnam. George was a great guy to fish with and talk to I hope he had as much fun
as I did. It was great talking to all the veterans after the fishing event and being able
to thank the Vets. personally for there sacrifice and there service to our country and
let them all know they are the " Stars " that we all salute today. It was not the best
conditions today for fishing we did get fish and that made for evan a better day.
I think all the Guides had fun with the Veterans and we are all looking forward to
the next Event. This is just a small way for the Captions to give something back to
these guys. We all have to remember while these guys came home hurt, but alive
so many of our brothers and sisters did not. Also want to thank JB's Fish Camp for
the food it was great.

This has been a good year for the redfish spawn hate to see it be over but all good things come to a end. When it comes to having a great place to fish this part of Florida is by far the best place to fish for large redfish, and I am so lucky to have a job like this. The schools of fish are getting bigger each year and so are the fish. I keep saying to myself it can't get any better than this, but it is getting better every year.

Redfish schools are getting bigger and they are turned on. This coming full moon should be the last of the spawn for this year. The way the weather has been it may go on but we will just have to wait and see. It has been a great year for big redfish.

This was a good day to be on the water no wind for most of the day and the redfish were turned on doing there thing and eating anything you put in front of them. We got 11 redfish in the boat and lost 7 it was a really good day. The fish should stay together for the rest of Oct and we always have the best bit on are around the moon changes.

The fishing report is good the redfish are in big schools and doing there thing and should stay together until late Oct. The black drum are starting to show them self and when you find them they will bite. Here are 2 that we got yesterday we got a total of 11 all about the same size. The weather is cooling off just a little bit and the fishing is good so book your trip.

Sept 18 , 2013 This is my 3rd.day with Alfred and  Alan, the wind was already strong before we

put the boat in the water . These guys said they come to Florida to go fishing so we

went fishing and what a day we had. We had a total of 23 redfish and 1 black

drum. The biggest redfish was 38 lbs. Alfred was so tired after getting this fish in

the boat he could not lift it up to get a photo so we did the next best thing. These

guys had a ball they got so tired of catching fish they did not want to take on the

last bite so they told me to take it. The fish was turned on and they were feeding

great trip and looking forward to you guys coming back and fishing with me again.

This is my second day with Alfred and Alan and when we got going,it was the start of a really nice day. The good weather did not last long and the winds picked up and it got stronger as the day went on. We working hard to find fish in this weather, but we did and got 11 good redfish for the day and had a lot of fun along the way, when you can do that it is not much more anyone can ask for in life.

This has been a busy week the redfish are here in big schools and they are
turned on. I fished with Alan from Winston Salem, NC. and his Dad Alfred
from Axton, Va. We had a good first day on the water. We got a total of 9
redfish all were really good fish. We are going to be fishing for 3 days and I
know we will get both of them a big redfish everyday. I hope the weather
holds up,this is a lot of fun fishing these big redfish schools.

What a day today was the water was flat as you can see and I got this fish on the first cast. You know what they say " don't get one on the first cast it is bad luck " well that is the last of the big fish for me today. We got 15 redfish total, 3 were just over the slot and 9 were inside the slot and 3 were maybe 10" long. We did get 2 Sheephead and 1 Snapper what a mix bag we had today. Over all it was another good day on the water.

September weather at it's best and this month has started the way I remember it to be. For the past 3 years September has been windy as March, but this September has started with great weather. The winds are light and the mornings seem to be a little cooler to start the day and the winds seem so far to stop up in the day making for a great day on the water. The fish are in large schools and when you find them the bite can be great.

Took off work this weekend and went to Miami needed some time off . I am back at it and the weather this week is great. The winds are light and for the past 2 days has stopped all together up in the day and that always helps with these big schools of redfish. When you find them schooled up it seems like there is always a fish that wants to eat. Sometimes it is not always the biggest one but no matter what the size they will pull your line. The color of some of these fish in there photos are so bright in the sunshine.

Went fishing today but I tried something different and went in the afternoon got on the water about 3:30pm and it was really windy. The ride to my first spot was rough but I made it. I got my first line in the water and before I could get my 2nd. rod out and put in the rod holder I had a fish on the first rod. Like I tell people it can be good to go fishing any time of the day you can go. We ended up with no redfish today fishing the same spot we fished yesterday, but yesterday we got 8 big Redfish today we got 12 Black Drum. This is the photo of the biggest one we had today. You never know what you may get when you go fishing it may be big redfish or it may be big schools of Black Drum.

Fishing was really good today we had a total of 8 redfish and as you can see all were good size fish. Weather was nice winds light and the fish were turned on hitting almost anything you cast to them. When you cast a top water plug out and see these big fish go over top of each other to get to the plug it will almost stop your heart.

The big fish are sometimes hard to find but when you find them they will bit just about anything you throw to them. The one school we fished had well over 1000 fish in it and we ended up getting 10 and left them because of the weather.

We are getting morning rain for the past 2 days along with thunder and lightning. I found the big schools yesterday and today and got some good redfish it is so hard for me to leave them because
of the weather,but getting off the water is the safe thing to do. We got off and got back home at
least we live to fish another day.

Fishing today was really good we got 10 Redfish in Mosquito Lagoon and the Indian River Lagoon,4 were in the slot and 6 were over size. The Redfish are Spawning on this full moon and they are in large schools it is so cool to see this each year. The nice thing about this fish is they will be in these large schools for the next 3 months. I saw 2 schools today that had well over 1500 Redfish in them. The weather was nice today but the wind was blowing and that makes it hard to stay on the schools but it takes hard work and good eyes and it all works out fine. If you have been thinking of going fishing now is the time to call and book a day or two.

I did not have a Fishing trip booked for today so I went fishing with my Dad the weather was really nice very light winds. We went to Mosquito Lagoon and we got 8 Redfish 3 were over the slot and the others were in the slot. It is great to see my Dad catch fish he loves fishing as much as I do. When the bite stopped we went in the Indian River Lagoon and had 2 really big reds on but had both get off. We were fishing near Capt. Jim Ross when he invited use over to where he was catching Black Drum and we got 7 of them all were in the 13 to 16 pound range we had a great time and I want to Thank Capt. Jim Ross for doing that he is a really nice guy. The fish are turned on so come on over.

Got out today with my brother Tony and what a day we had on the water it was a great weather day and the fish were turned on. We had a total of 7 slot redfish and had 6 redfish well over the slot with this one being the big fish of the day. I was lucky to get Tony off his Surf Board and on the water for a change,and even better to see him get this big Redfish.It is always good to go fishing with him and to be able to put him on the fish we got today. When I have a day like we did today it really makes me feel like a lucky person to have the job I do.

I fished today with Eric Rahm from West Palm Beach Florida it was a good start to the day very light winds always good to start that way . On our first stop of the day Eric got his first redfish and did a great job fighting the fish we did not get all of them but over all we had a good 4 hours on the water and I am looking forward to his next trip up to fish another day . July 1 2013 will be a month that I will remember for years to come. It by far has been the best month for finding and catching big redfish I think I have been on the water almost every day and it is like the fish are every where I have fished . Some of my guest has wanted to take some fish home but they get over that after they get one of the big fish. The fish have not got together yet but there are a lot of big fish moving around. Here are just a few of the fish that we got this month. I do believe that Aug and Sept are going to be great fishing to. So give me a call and I will put you on one of these big redfish.
