The winter fishing is great one day you get red fish and the next you catch black drum you just never know. I think it is nice to have both of these fish here and they both put up a fight. We had a good day today we got 4 red fish and 4 black drum so it looks like some days you get both and that makes for even a better day on the water.

This week has started off like spring is in the air we have had a great few days with temperatures in the high 70's and the fish are turned on. Had a great day today we boated 10 big black drum all were from 24 to 35 pounds and the school had well over a 1000 fish in it.

Fished today with my Dad we did not get on the water until after 10 o'clock and it was no wind and lots of sun the weather man calling for temperatures of 79 degrees. I was talking to my Uncle from up north and he said the high was a warm 12 degrees. I think I can deal with the warm weather better than I can the cold. We had a total of 16 red fish today all but two were in the slot we got all them tailing. When I am poling a boat to get a angler in position to cast, to a tailing red fish I still get nervous after all these years. I guess when it does not make me nervous anymore all the fun will be gone and it does not look like that is going to happen.

Fished today with two guys from West Virginia and we had a good day on the water. Today was a warm day and the fish were turned on after a few days of cold weather. There were a lot of fishermen that took arranged of this nice weather. From what we saw there was a lot of fish being put in the boat we ended up with six red fish and one black drum. Had lots of fish to cast to and the water is so clear we were able to see some of the hits and that adds to any cast. It was another great day to be on the water.

The year is almost over and it has been a very good year for red fish I have been able to get good fish this whole year. Hope that 2014 will bring the same kind of fishing to this area. I am starting to get on the trout and today was just a really good day. Not any big ones but a lot of smaller fish that was ready to bit.

It is getting close to the end of the year and the weather is great, this week it has been in the mid 80 degrees all week and the weather man is calling for 86 on Sunday. I have been fishing a lot this month and that has keep me out of the Mall's, that is a good thing any time of the year. The big black drum are here and the redfish are eating. Redfish and trout fishing is good even up in the day I got on the water today at 11am. and got this nice redfish. The redfish are eating when you find them and there are plenty of slot fish all together the weather has been good for the most part. We do have fronts coming down from up north with some windy days but over all it has been a good December for Central Florida.
